Morning Wake Up

Charlotte has been sleeping better and is now bottle-free! Stella likes to wake her up on "school" mornings. Stella tip-toes into her room and goes up to the side of the crib and says, "Good morning Charlotte. Time to get up pretty girl." It's very cute. And Charlotte is a morning person so usually gets up immediately with a smile excited to see Stella. Some mornings Stella wants to get in with Charlotte for a minute before the morning chaos begins - changing clothes, brushing teeth, pottying, etc.

Hot Chocolate!

Apparently I created this post and forgot to publish it a couple of weeks ago!After shoveling snow, Stella got to have hot chocolate for the first time. She really liked it!

Pops is a Good Man!

Over Charlotte's birthday weekend is when we got all of our snow. Andy's parents were here staying with us. Pops did a great job as sled-puller. He gave both Charlotte (1st picture) and Stella (2nd picture) equal turns. Sadly, they both weigh about the same!!

Beauty Queen

Stella has been very lucky to receive 2 new Princess items over the last two weeks. First, she received a Princess vanity from her cousin. She loves to sit on the stool and look in the mirror and hide treasures in the drawer. And today, a co-worker of mine was so sweet to think of Stella when she had a leftover "girlie" gift that did not get given at Christmas...instead of returning the item, she passed it on to us. For some reason her husband did not want their son playing with the Princess hair kit. So you will see Stella above at her vanity using the new hair dryer, brush and lipstick. She is also quite fond of pretending to use the flat-iron...like mommy does every morning!

Big Sister (To Be)

So the news is out...Baby Wade #3 will most likely arrive sometime in late August. Official due date is Sept. 7th, but the girls were 7-10 days early. We had fun announcing it at Charlotte's 1st Birthday party. We saved the best gift for last. Stella gave her a special present (although it was a hand-me-down)...the shirt pictured above. My mom had the best dropped-jaw reaction which I think was captured on my neighbor's camera. She later said, "I was wondering if you were eating too much candy...you've picked up some weight." Yep. I can finally be around people and not have to suck in my gut. Another week or two and my "normal" pants will be saying "adios" for awhile. Pictures of Charlotte's party soon to come!

Someone had her fingernails painted today. Funny how I can't find the time to do my own!

Shoveling Snow

Here are some pictures from the snow over the weekend. Stella helped Andy shovel the driveway. Charlotte wanted to know why she couldn't be out in the action. She waited patiently by the front door!

Stella's Snowman

Stella and I built a snowman in the snow yesterday. She had a lot of fun putting "Frosty" together. She was quite smitten with him. Yes, she was hugging and kissing him. And then when we came inside she even talked to him from the front door!

Stella and Her Stickers

Stella LOVES to craft with paper, markers, and stickers. Recently she has started to talk to her stickers. She usually is introducing herself, "Hi, I'm Stella" and then the sticker says, "Hi, I'm Belle". I caught her chatting away in this video - although I'm not quite sure what she's actually saying here. You can also hear Charlotte in the background running around in her walker...that video will be tomorrow.

Charlotte's Tongue

Below is a video of Charlotte sticking out her tongue. Andy taught her. I have to give him some slack since he lives in a house of women and does attend a LOT of tea parties. If this is the worst "boy thing" he teaches her, so be it!

New Nightgowns

Stella recently got some AWESOME hand-me-downs...particularly 2 new nightgowns. One is Ariel - her absolute favorite and the other is shown above, Dora. She twirls and twirls and keeps running to the mirror to see herself in her nightgown. She is used to wearing footed pjs and thinks that this is so "big girl, princess-like".
