Sunflowers

Earlier this spring Stella planted sunflower seeds in a tiny pot in her daycare classroom. We brought them home and planted them in our garden in May. They are growing like crazy!! Here are some pictures of Stella checking on them this afternoon. She is saying, "Here they are! Stella's sunflowers!!" Wish I had the video camera. We'll post more pictures once they bloom.

Just Ducky!

Bath time is always amusing when daddy is in charge. This particular night it was "how many ducks can we balance on Stella's head?" Answer = 3.

Puzzling

Andy decided to do a puzzle over the weekend. Stella was fascinated by how small the pieces were! She "helped" him.

Swimming Sensations

Tonight we went to my aunt's to eat dinner and swim. My dad was still in town and my sister joined us with James and Adam. The kids had so much fun. I wasn't sure how Stella would react. She LOVES her baths, but hasn't been in a pool since December. (We skipped the winter swim lessons due to Charlotte's arrival.) As soon as we got there, Stella pointed at the pool and said, "I go in water, mama". She had so much fun. She kept telling me to "let go mama". Then she wanted to jump in off of the side. We did that repeatedly with me catching her...I let her go under once and she wasn't so sure about that!

Dancing Queen

This past weekend my family had a 3-day family reunion at our family farm in Indiana. We spent Saturday night under a tent while it rained and rained. Stella had a blast dancing to all of the music. She even got up and sang "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" on a microphone in front of about 100 people. Here are a couple of pictures of her dancing in my dad's lap next to my grandma.Stella singing "Twinkle Twinkle" with my dad:

Below are a few videos of the evening. Stella and I did some dancing and Stella did a LOT of running in between chairs. She fell a few times and I told her to quit running so she wouldn't fall down. She replied (with the saddest look on her face), "No mama, I run."

Rice Cereal...yum?

The girls went to the doctor on Thursday. Stella weighs almost 23 lbs and Charlotte almost 15 lbs! Charlotte is acting much more interested in food than Stella did at 4 months. So we decided to go ahead and give it a try. Although she was excited to be in a new chair (picture 1), she wasn't too sure about the rice cereal this morning (picture 4).
