Sweet Stella

Stella is so sweet. Here she is with Baby Charlotte this morning. Charlotte had been crying, so Stella is saying "baby crying" although Charlotte has since stopped.

Bath Time!

Stella didn't poop in the tub until she was about 16/17 months old. Charlotte did it during her first bath - EVERYWHERE (shortly after picture #1 was taken). The girl is determined to do everything earlier than Stella. So we had to finish the bath on the bear sponge. I took pictures because daddy wasn't home to witness the first bath (which also meant I got to deal with the poop issue on my own). Tonight I was smart and put a wash cloth underneath her just in case...however, no accidents to report! Yes, I have nothing better to blog about...slow week at our house...

So Sweet

I may be getting the "cold shoulder" from Stella, but baby Charlotte isn't. Stella asks for her in the morning when she wakes up and when she comes home from daycare. She also randomly kisses her on the head without it being suggested to her.
New photos posted on Shutterfly. Enjoy!

Cousins

Yesterday we had a couple of visitors. Grandma Jude and Michael came to visit. Andy and Michael went to the XU game. Renee also brought the boys over. We actually got a few photos of all four cousins. Here are the best two. It's hard to get two 20-month olds to sit still and smile!

What's Your Channel?

Now that I've been home a week, I've been exposed to much more television than normal. Our tv is normally on a music station (shown above). I like background noise. But since Charlotte and I camped out in the family room the first few nights, I've been doing my late-night feedings with Giada, Duff Goldman, Tyler Florence and Bobby Flay. So that leads me to ask, what's your default tv channel? Mine obviously is the Food Network. Next would be HGTV. Why does House Hunters suck me in? Next would be CNN Headline News. And I have to admit that Disney is now in the Top 5. So when you are home and the tv is on, what channel would I see?

Settling In

We are all quickly settling in at home. As crazy as it sounds...this is probably the first week that Andy, Stella and I have had dinner together every night at the table. And it's been home-cooked by us! (Although people have offered to bring us dinner, being the planner that I am, I had already done the grocery shopping/meal planning for this week on Saturday, so we were set.) Charlotte has cooperated through dinner time so that's been nice for Stella's adjustment. We realize that this will not last long.
Charlotte LOVES having her arms and hands free.

Charlotte has made herself quite comfy on the couch.

Stella is still more interested in the tv remote than in the new baby.

Daddy is sure to give Stella lots of one-on-one time during the evenings. Mommy tried, but Stella would only let daddy read the book.
Charlotte did watch from a distance.
Down on sleep, but loving every minute!
