Another Birthday

This is a picture from the child's actual birthDAY - June 25th. We have celebrated NUMEROUS times since mid-June. Today I picked her up from daycare and about 5 minutes into the drive home she says, "Go see Josie?" (her dear non-daycare friend & Krista's youngest). Then I told her "Not today." She replies, "See her later? Stella's birthday??" So now she is associating Josie with all of this partying. I tried to explain (to a 2-year old) that her birthday was over. All night she whined and kept repeating, "Want another birthday now mama!!" Don't we all? Parties and gifts and sugary treats and FUN...Can't blame her.

Stella's B-day: The Final Chapter

Today Andy and I took a birthday cake into Stella's daycare for afternoon snack. She LOVED it. The second picture is of her and her best school friend, Anna. Anna just had a baby brother Nolan. Tonight Stella was carrying around her two baby dolls and kept telling us that they were Charlotte and Nolan.

Stella's Birthday

Although Stella is actually turning 2 tomorrow (cannot believe it!), we celebrated her birthday with the family after Charlotte's Baptism brunch last Sunday. Here are a few quick pictures of her with her cupcakes. We had to move inside for the b-day song and cupcakes because the rainstorm started!

I can't stand to post without a picture so here's Stella in her new Dora hat.

2 quick Stella stories:

1 - She gives me hugs and kisses each morning before Andy takes her out the door. This morning I said, "See ya later!" and her response (without a pause) was "Bye-bye crocodile".

2 - Tonight's treat was a pudding cup since she actually finished all of her chicken. I offered to help her get the last scoops out of the cup. I started to reach in and touch it...she said, "Hands off dude". Andy and I couldn't help but laugh and she kept repeating "dude!"

Baptismal Gown

Here are a few pictures of Charlotte in her Baptismal Gown. It's the same gown that I wore when I was baptized as well as a few of my cousins, my sister and Stella. Our names are all stitched onto the slip (girls in pink and boys in blue) with the years dated. It's a nice thing to have in the family. Being the oldest grandchild, I'm now the "keeper" of it.
