Dinosaurs - 1, Princesses - 0

Some of you may have noticed Stella's green pjs. They were hand-me-downs from her cousins that she just received over Thanksgiving. I asked her if she wanted to wear the dinosaurs to bed or her princesses...she picked the dinosaurs! I couldn't believe it. She asked, "Who gave me them??" When I told her that James & Adam gave them to her she said, "Oh man. Thanks Aunt Nay-Nay."

The Stockings Were Hung

At our house St. Nick brings Christmas pjs, holiday books, a Christmas ornament for the tree, a toothbrush and arts/crafts stuff. Stella loved every minute of it! See below.

Santa Clause is...

...rappelling into town?? Yep, in Cincinnati he sure does. Saturday night we trekked our way downtown to watch Santa rappel down the side of a downtown office tower to Macy's rooftop to kick-off a great fireworks show. Stella had a fun time and enjoyed seeing Santa from a distance. Here are some pictures. The first picture is while we were anxiously awaiting Santa's arrival:

Santa, an elf and his reindeer are rappelling down the side of the building in the picture below. Next year I'll bring my zoom lens.

Stella is saying "oooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!"

Santa (above) stopped on the rooftop and announced the start of the fireworks!

Stella liked the fireworks until they got loud at the very end.

Charlotte liked the fireworks too! I love her little chubby cheeks...smeared in aquaphor!

Below is proof that I was there!

Living in Chaos!

I have been trying to decorate my house for Christmas since the weekend before Thanksgiving. It's not been very productive. Good thing I started early, because it's taken all of this time and I'm still not finished. Not that I have too much stuff, I just have not gotten to finish one task without being interrupted with sickness, kids, husband, other chores, other needs, etc.So here are the rest of the decorations - in what I call "the holding room". Our poor dining room is NEVER empty and I haven't seen the table top in MONTHS. One thing gets cleared out and it becomes a holding spot for something else. Below is the box of Christmas Tree decorations:Because we've still only hung the ornaments Stella so nicely placed:And to top it all off, below has been my bed. Andy now has our AWFUL cold so I volunteered to sleep on the couch since I didn't have to work today. Even with a breathe right strip he's still snoring like crazy. And actually, the couch is pretty comfy and I can stay up late watching all of my DVR'd stuff!!

Here's hoping today will be PRODUCTIVE!!

O Christmas Tree

Despite none of us feeling 100%...we still kept tradition and got our tree this past weekend. Stella was confused that we were at a "farm" that didn't have animals. However, she never questioned why we were bringing a tree into our house. She was very excited once the lights were hung. Stella helped put up the first ornaments...as you can see in the last picture. Andy and I aren't sure what to do next. Do we keep them there? Probably. She's so detail-oriented, she'll notice if we move any of them.

Bundled Up

Charlotte and I went for a walk on Thanksgiving morning. It was really cold, but we stayed warm all bundled up. I cannot believe she fits in the same snowsuit Stella wore last year!
