Picture Perfect?

For Stella's Baptism I'm sure I wanted the "perfect" picture. My how things change. Now I just want the right people in the photo. Below is the "Bucher" photo from Henry's baptism - my dad and grandma are in it. You will see two main things that would not have made me happy 3 years ago while trying to get the "perfect" photo. #1 Charlotte's pacifier. #2 Stella's construction paper crown. But that's who we are right now and I'm just glad everyone is in the picture that was supposed to be.

Baptism

Henry got baptized last Sunday. Andy's sister and her husband are the Godparents. Everyone cooperated (meaning Henry and Charlotte) and things went well. We had a small group of friends and family come over to the house afterwards to celebrate. It was a beautiful day.

The Strider

Last Friday my dad came into town for the weekend. He got Stella a Strider bike for her birthday (belated gift). We ended up with a red one (not pink) since Henry has now arrived! Good thing we waited to choose the color. Stella was unsure at first, but has grown to like it more and more as the week has passed. Balance bikes are supposed to really help kids learn how to ride a two-wheeler even quicker. So we'll see how it goes! I know a couple of friends that have had huge success with these. And thanks to Melanie for recommending we go to Reser Bicycles in Newport (the only place in town that sells Striders). Great bike shop that we would frequent more often if we didn't live on the other side of town!!

$5 Well Spent

I went to the Mother's Exchange sale on Saturday. Charlotte has been very frustrated on our patio because she is too small to ride Stella's tricycle or scooter. I found the above riding toys for a total price of $5!! Charlotte is loving the one she is shown riding...not so fond of the other one. Stella tried it out since she didn't believe me that she was too big. After a few seconds she exclaimed, "I'm too big for this" and headed back to her tricycle.

Side Sleeper

This little man prefers to sleep on his side just like Charlotte did. Even if I put him flat on his back...he manages to get himself to his side!
