Carmax

It's official. The minivan is parked in the garage to stay. Just a quick blog post to say that Andy and I are still fans of Carmax. If you've never lived in a city with a Carmax, be sure to at least check out their website the next time you purchase a vehicle. We bought the Mitsubishi there when we lived in Nashville and always refer to their site during a vehicle purchase. For those of you unaware, Carmax basically is a used car superstore (some locations sell new vehicles as well). And the sticker price is the only price - there is no negotiating involved. Plus they are really fair about giving you a good trade-in price. We actually got more for the Camry than we were hoping. There is a Carmax opening in Cincinnati either later this year or early next year (it's the empty car lot across from Bass Pro that you can see from I-275). So we hadn't really used one while we've been back. We did use the website to bargain for our Pathfinder...the guy at the dealership said my offer was unreasonable and I'd never find a Pathfinder for that price. So I whipped out the online posting of a Pathfinder in Louisville that we were willing to go get if the local dealership didn't work with us. And sure enough the local guy changed his mind...and we wonder why people HATE dealerships?? So, anyway, we found the Sienna on their site a couple of weeks ago, but it was originally in Oklahoma. It took a little over a week to get it transferred to Indy. And yesterday we went and got it! Everyone at the dealership was great.
