"No listen?"

Saturday night we went downtown to see the Duke trains and Fountain Square.  We went with the Lorenz family.  Andy & Howie went to the XU game afterwards and so Krista and I took our kids home and put them to bed by ourselves.  Stella fell asleep in the car and barely woke up for the transition to pjs and then to bed.  Charlotte stayed in the living room while I ran Stella upstairs and plopped her on her pillows.  When I came back down, here was our conversation:

Me - "Your turn Charlotte...time for jammies."
C - "Sissy??  Go with daddy?"
Me - "No, daddy's at the XU game.  Stella is already in bed."
C - "Sissy no listen to momma?"

So apparently Charlotte is definitely being sent to her room too often for getting in trouble if she's now relating "being in bed" to "being in trouble".  We may have to rethink our time-out location with her...but she's usually thrashing and kicking and putting her in her room behind the gate has been working.

This is so cute! Have you heard of "the thinking spot"? Jennie uses this for Cody and loves it. She has a plastic round colored mat that you can buy and use as "the thinking spot". The great thing is that you can take it with you easily in the diaper bag! (i.e. if you're at grandparents, friends houses, etc.)I can get you a set of two that they have for sale at the Family Center, if you're interested let me know. :)
