Camped Out & Separated!

There has been a nasty vomit/diarrhea virus going around at daycare, work, and within our circle of friends for about 2 weeks now. We thought we had safely avoided it...until last night. Stella came home from daycare extremely needy and even said "I want my mommy" which is (sadly) unusual. Then 10 minutes before dinner she threw up all over the kitchen. I am so glad that a) it was not on the carpet and b) Andy was home to clean it up! So we spent last night taking turns holding her and holding her hair back while she puked in a bucket. Nice. We are lucky that this has only been our second episode of vomit since beginning this whole parenting thing. Stella and I slept in the living room last night and she did pretty well. This morning I moved her to our room to "camp out" for awhile. Needless to say, she enjoyed being in front of Disney (pictured above). I am keeping my fingers crossed that Charlotte does not get sick - especially today since Andy is in Cleveland until late this evening. But, what are the chances? And I'm just waiting for Stella to start the diarrhea...that's what day 2 is bringing everyone else.

OH! Andy and I tried to convince her last night to try some Sprite to make her belly feel better. She was extremely thirsty, but kept throwing up the water she would drink. Through the tears she cried, "But it's not healthy!" Seriously? She apparently paid close attention to the "pop vs. water - which is healthy" discussion at daycare last week during Let's Be Healthy Week.

I cracked up about the "it's not healthy" comment! Hope everyone gets well soon and that it doesn't plague your house for much longer.
